Starting at the end of April, Stoic will be airing a TV commercial on Dutch TV. Below, you can watch our video, starring our blue dot on the horizon, symbolizing our focus on your long-term investment goals. We're quite proud of it, but perhaps you're raising an eyebrow: doesn't Stoic always try to keep costs as low as possible? And now they're airing expensive TV commercials? Or perhaps you're questioning the timing, right in the middle of the coronavirus crisis? That's why we're not only showing the commercial below, but also providing some explanation.
We've decided to go "on TV" because at Stoic, we want to serve as large a customer base as possible. This aligns with our promise: the larger our customer base, the lower the cost per person can be. And that's good news for your bottom line, of course.
It so happens that the cost of advertising airtime is currently extremely low. The reason for this is indeed the coronavirus crisis: many large companies that advertise on TV are pulling back their advertising campaigns. This makes it interesting for a small but ambitious brand like Stoic to test the impact of a TV campaign on customer acquisition and, consequently, on our business model. We're happy to seize that opportunity.
But are we exploiting the coronavirus crisis, a deeply moving event for many people? We don't think so: especially now, at a time when people are losing a lot of money on the stock market, our calm, stoic approach to asset management offers clear added value.
